Day Holding

Daytime postnatal support is about being there in the in-between moments — when the night has been long, emotions feel close to the surface, and you’re wondering if what you’re feeling is normal.

I offer gentle, practical, and emotionally supportive care during the day to help you feel more grounded and confident as you adjust to life with your baby. Whether you need space to rest, support with feeding, a listening ear, or simply someone to reassure you that you’re doing a good job — I’m here.

My support is never about “fixing” you. It’s about holding you. Supporting your recovery, your emotional wellbeing, and your transition into motherhood, at your pace, in your own home.

You don’t have to do this alone — daytime support can be the difference between surviving and feeling truly supported..

Frequently Asked Questions

We understand lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit.

Question 1: What is a Postnatal Doula?

A postnatal doula offers emotional, practical, and informational support to families in the early weeks and months after birth. My role is to nurture you - the mother - so you can rest, recover, and bond with your baby feeling calm and confident. I provide care that meets your unique needs, from gentle reassurance and practical help to guidance around feeding, recovery, and family adjustment.

Question 2: When should I book your services?

It’s ideal to book during pregnancy so we can plan ahead and ensure support is in place when your baby arrives. However, it’s never too late - whether your baby is days, weeks, or months old, I’m here to help whenever you need extra care and guidance.

Question 3: How do you tailor your support to each family?

Every family is beautifully different. I take the time to listen and understand your needs, routines, and preferences so that the care I offer feels natural and supportive — never intrusive or prescriptive. Together, we create a rhythm that works for you.

Question 4: Do you support partners too?

Absolutely. The postnatal period is a big transition for everyone in the family. I offer reassurance, information, and guidance to help partners feel confident and connected as they support both baby and mama.

Question 5: What is included in nighttime postnatal care?

In-person nighttime postnatal support may include some light emotional reassurance, but generally I will come to support with feeding and newborn care so you can rest peacefully knowing your baby is being taken care of. Giving you space to rest and recover. Each visit is flexible and guided by what you need most on the night. All nighttime support comes with the understanding that your doula rests while baby sleeps, and supports while baby is awake.

Question 6: How long does postnatal support last?

There’s no set timeframe - support can be short-term for the early weeks or ongoing over several months. I usually plan to conclude care at around one year postpartum, however, we’ll create a plan that feels right for your family’s needs and rhythm.
