I understand that choosing a Doula is hard, inviting someone into your home during this vulnerable time is huge. Here's a few FAQ's to help you decide:
A Postnatal Doula offers emotional, practical, and informational support to families in the early weeks and months after birth. My role is to nurture you - the Mama - so you can rest, recover, and bond with your baby feeling calm and confident as you embark on your motherhood journey. I provide care that meets your unique needs, from gentle reassurance, to practical support or guidance, recovery, and family adjustment.
Yes, to secure your chosen days/times and sessions. Ideally, we start planning your postnatal support during pregnancy so everything is ready when baby arrives. However, it’s never too late to reach out — whether your baby is days, weeks, or months old, support can make a meaningful difference at any stage, which is why I provide support up to one year postpartum.
Midwives and health visitors focus on your clinical care and your baby’s health. A Postnatal Doula complements their work by focusing on your wellbeing — emotionally, mentally, and practically. My role is not medical, but nurturing — to help you feel calm, confident, and cared for as you recover and adjust in this new chapter.
Every family is unique, and support is flexible to your needs. Some mamas book just a one off/few visits for an extra helping hand in the early days, while others prefer ongoing care over several weeks or months. We’ll create a package that feels right for you and your family. My typical care can be provided from birth to one year postpartum.
Having a village is wonderful, but professional postpartum support can complement the help of family and friends. My role is to provide dedicated, unbiased support centred entirely around your wellbeing and recovery.
Not at all. Every postpartum experience is unique. Whether this is your first baby or your fourth, you deserve support, care and space to be nurtured too.
You are absolutely allowed to ask for help. Motherhood was never meant to be done alone. The postpartum period brings significant physical, emotional and hormonal changes. My role is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can share how you're feeling and receive support without judgment. Reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness, and every parent deserves to feel held during this transformative season.
Yes. One of my main offerings is "The Postnatal Power Hour" which are primarily done via Zoom. These can provide you with guidance, reassurance and practical advice from the comfort of your own home, on absolutely any postpartum topic you're needing information/support/guidance on. Some examples include: Postnatal Planning, Matresence, Relationship Integration, Sleep, Feeding, Newborn Behaviour, Baby Care, and much, much more.
Overnight support is a holding of your space during the delicate night hours for you and your family to get the rest you truly deserve. I provide a wake window service where I rest with you while baby is asleep, but when baby wakes I am all hands on deck to support you to feed your baby, and thereafter support your crucial rest time and soothe/settle baby so you can take a back seat for a night or two a week.
Postnatal Power Hours are £97 available virtually primarily, and in Colchester, Essex in person.
Overnight support is £333 and available in Essex/Suffolk.
I have 2026 promotions for both of these offers, so head to the individual service pages for discount codes.
You don't need to figure that out alone. We can have a friendly, no-obligation connection call to explore your needs and find the support option that feels right for you and your family.
Simply get in touch by submitting the "Contact Us" form or booking a connection call, and tell me a little about where you are on your journey. Together, we'll explore how I can best support you through pregnancy, postpartum and beyond.
